Mahindra Xylo D4 BS IV variant follows the BS IV rules and comes packed with remarkable features along with high class technology that has been used with the engine. This variant is positioned just after the D2 BS IV variant, therefore the cost goes a bit higher than the D2 BS IV variant. But just like Xylo D2, it will be meant for fleet owners and tourist MPV. Starting with engine, this variant of the MPV is powered with 2.5 litre of mDI CRDe diesel engine with a displacement of 2489cc that produces peak power of 95 BHP at the rate of 3600 rpm accompanied with peak torque of 220 Nm at the rate of 1400 to 2600 rpm. The engine has been mated with five speed manual gearbox that in turn delivers 10-13 km per litre fuel economy. The other comfort features of the car includes in power windows, wheel covers, engine immobilizer, flatbed seats, dual air conditioning system and additional stability technology. Code-named Ingenio, this utility vehicle from Mahindra made a lot of news before and after its launch. It was launched in 2008 as 'Xylo'. The platform project of Mahindra Xylo costed Rs. 550 crore for the utility vehicles market leader. Mahindra has tried its best to improve the overall build quality, fit & finish of its vehicles with the launch of 2012 Xylo. It features clear lens head-lights with integrated orange turn indicators, all-new front grille, all-new bonnet, all-new clear lens tail lights with clear lens turn indicators, blacked-out pillars, rear roof spoiler, new design for alloy wheels, steering mounted controls, dual airbags, reverse parking assist, cruise control and voice commands. With the launch of 2012 model, Mahindra has also introduced a new variant - E9. The new variant is top-of-the-line, which will sits above the E8 variant. Xylo E9 also features an all-new voice command system that allows you to switch on the headlights, wipers and even change the radio station via voice commands.
