General Motors is likely to introduce two engine options in its Sail - 1.2 litre S-TEC II and 1.4 litre S-TEC III. Both of these performance oriented engines have potential to generate enormous power as well as torque. However, the 1.2 litre S-TEC II engine is expected to generate maximum power of 71 bhp with enormous torque. As far as the power of 1.4 litre S-TEC III engine is concerned, it can churn a maximum output of 73 bhp.

To assist the engine of this car, the company has assimilated a five speed manual transmission system with it that results in smooth and easy switching of gears.
